The Senior Training Coordinator provides support in the safe and efficient operation of the vast and complex network of systems required for the world's largest air traffic control and navigation system. Manages the non-technical training program, which includes administrative, hazardous material, logistics, managerial, office automation, safety, and human relations courses. Provides oversight of all technical and non-technical training programs for the Technical Operations organization.
Duties
Performs multiple, varying, and complex assignments under the minimal direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader or more experienced professional. May act as a contributing specialist on large work activities or as a project manager or team leader for large projects/programs/activities. Maintains advanced knowledge of FAA training requirements, policies and processes. Identifies, plan and organizes available resources to accomplish projects/programs and activities. Ensures all prerequisite training, enrollment and pre course counseling forms are completed in a timely manner. Consults with managers to identify training needs, translate them into training opportunities, and make recommendations on areas needing improvement.

- Position sensitivity is designated Moderate Risk; a background investigation may be required
Qualifications
To qualify for this position at the I pay band level, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent at the next lower level, FV-H, FG/GS-12. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.Specialized experience is: Coordinating technical and non-technical training programs; evaluating, tracking and reporting employees' training and certification status on systems and services that support the National Airspace System (NAS); and compiling, tracking, and analyzing data using excel spreadsheets and tools to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.Education cannot be substituted for experience at the FV-I Level.
