Duties

Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Experience and knowledge in enterprise-level software engineering, software development life cycle methodologies, software testing, change management, deployment, and developing in multiple system landscapes utilizing BI/BW technologies. Ability to design, develop, and troubleshoot solutions in SAP BI/BW, Business Objects/BOBJ, Crystal Reports, and/or Web Intelligence (WebI). Experience with BW Extractors, Master Data/InfoObjects, Data Source, InfoPackage, DSOs, InfoCubes, Data Marts, Composite Providers, etc. Strong understanding and experience with data extractions, build and design complex process chains, design and develop BIBW reports. Hands on experience with BW Extractors, Master Data/InfoObjects, Data Source, InfoPackage, DSOs, InfoCubes, Data Marts, Composite Providers, etc. Monitor Job performance issues in Production to ensure seamless support to customer. Participate in BI/BW Infrastructure design and development meeting to establish the most advance and effective platform for successful support to Customers. Participate in Leadership, CCB/CRB, Portfolio Governance, and GFEBS status meetings as needed. Learn, understand, and develop all BI/BW Functional Specification documents. Ability to design test procedures and execute testing on middleware code. Ability to monitor system middleware processes, identify failures of processes or data flows and correct issues or escalate appropriately. Ability to analyze requirements and develop technical specifications, develop and release (transport) Middleware code, and configure objects in SAP Process Orchestration. Meeting with primary stakeholders to coordinate the activities of the customer/user teams working on the analysis and provides technical expertise on hardware, software, and architecture. Interfacing with management, specialists, and users to determine data processing requirements, enhancements, or problems and advises subject-matter personnel on the impact of new or revised systems of data processing operations. Routinely meet with Team Lead, Branch Chiefs and Architects to discuss emerging issues on the assigned ERP. Building effective presentations or content on a wide degree of technical topics

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This is Defense Cyberspace Workforce Framework (DCWF) position as outlined in DoDD 8140.01 - Cyberspace Workforce Management and is associated with the Securely Provision workforce category.
  • Commensurate with mission requirements, the incumbent can be required to work irregular duty hours to include working nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • This position requires foundational certification in Acquisition Career Field “Engineering and Technical Management” or the incumbent must be able to obtain certification within 36 months of entry on duty.
  • This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

Position Details: Serves as a developer in one of the following SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) program areas: ERP Business Intelligence / Business Warehouse / Enterprise Data Warehouse (BI/BW/EDW). Middleware. The intent of this position is to provide critical SAP BI/BW/EDW reporting development, or Middleware process monitoring and development support to the military logistics infrastructure by working with SAP Functional and Technical Teams, along with the Army ERP customers. The candidate will be tasked with leading or contributing to the development and support of large-scale BI/BW or Middleware implementations and shaping the reporting infrastructure to support customer requirements. The position utilizes Agile processes, DevSecOps, Software and Systems Integration, and System Engineering (Data Analytics and Automation). The position will perform development in one or more of the following SAP focus areas: DFPS; HR; PM; MM; or IM/WM. This position is not a remote opportunity, telework is available IAW organization policy.
