About the Position: The US Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) is the Army's materiel readiness command for aviation, missile and calibration that optimizes joint warfighter capabilities at the point of need.
Duties
Lead the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees, in accordance with established work flow and/or skill level.
Analyze logistical problems, in aviation and missile systems, and recommend course of action to resolve issues that arise during development or sustainment of a major weapon system.
Oversee short and long-range planning to ensure adequate readiness support is available to maintain unit/system readiness.
Perform readiness studies and/or special projects to improve readiness and/or supply availability of supported weapon system, which include preparing reports and/or formal written/oral briefings.
Develop of maintenance concepts, supply support elements, and product improvement initiatives to ensure quality sustainment of weapon system in support of Program Management Office logistics.
Requirements
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes recommending policies or technical procedures to improve efficiency; evaluating data on weapons system logistical mission performance; delivering presentations to management levels on topics such as the history, status, or objectives of the logistics program; and developing technical publications for a weapon system. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
