You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the NAVY EXPEDITIONARY LOGISTICS SUPP GRP of COMNAVEXPEDLOGSUPGRP.
Duties
You will provide inventory management of Table of Allowance (TOA) material stores.
You will provide continuing technical advice and assistance necessary to resolve problems during the broad stages of the equipment life-cycle (e.g., preproduction, production, usage and/or disposal).
You will identify, describe and classify equipment for reference purposes and/or to determine their readiness condition and level of performance, and recommends issue, modification, repair or disposal of these items.
You will assist the Director of Logistics, by coordinating and supervising inventory issues.
You will resolve/coordinate the resolution of very difficult recurring procurement problems regarding highly complex equipment by determining alternate methods of supply including cannibalization, fabrication, and in-house manufacture.
You will continually review projected workloads regarding equipment maintenance and rework programs and special projects.
You will review the readiness condition and utilization of equipment, to develop, screen or revise material requirements lists and maintain long-range equipment plans to assure the quality and quantity of necessary support items.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Passport.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- Must be able to operate and maintain license for Material Handling Equipment
Qualifications
GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience and ability to effectively convey ideas, thoughts, opinions, knowledge and date to a wide range of civilians and military personnel ranging from different ranks and pay grades.
Experience conveying written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience.
Experience being responsible for a wide range of equipment under their care where they will be responsible for accurate inventory and care of equipment.
Experience working and understanding with TOA (CESE and Non-CESE) and good understanding of the Configuration Management and Modernization as it relates to TOA.
Experience and understanding on properly resourcing equipment across the force and implement plans with long-term interests of the organization in a global environment that takes into consideration the capabilities of the force.
Experience analyzing problems and proposed and generates solutions and being able to properly provide effective recommendations to a wide range of members in the command to include senior officer.

Education
GS-11:
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
Possession of a LL.M., if related to the position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
