You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the MEDICAL DEPARTMENT of CDR NAVY EXPEDITIONARY COMBAT COMMAND.
Duties
You will serve as the Medical Logistics (MEDLOG) Program Manager.
You will be responsible for database management, integration and assessment of medical inventory management, inventory accountability, maintenance and medical logistics readiness.
You will coordinate, manage, and evaluate medical logistics functions and operations, ensure timely and accurate delivery of Class VIII in synch with subordinate unit Optimized Fleet Readiness Plan (Plan).
You will provide medical logistics relative training, and serve as technical advisor on all items related to medical logistics.
You will set policy and author appropriate internal standard operating Procedures.
You will provide oversight and expertise in Medical Logistics programs.
You will manage, plan, organize, coordinate, and advise in support of the Force Surgeon as Special Programs Manager and metrics manager.
You will prepare and update policy/instruction, provide guidance and interface with numerous major commands.
You will provide oversight and expertise in Medical Logistics programs for accountability, inventory accuracy, and database management, general management of Class VIII supplies.
You will provide oversight and expertise in Medical Logistics programs for equipment and maintenance, reconciliation of inventory, shelf-life management, shelf-life extension program and all levels of procurement.
You will coordinate with respective Medical Logistics coordinators and database managers to collect orders and collate data in order to process orders.
You will ensure that necessary funding is adequately identified to meet the annual requirement of procurement of medical logistics.
You will assist with planning and policy development for operational orders, annexes and appendices.
You will provide medical logistics estimates.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience applying knowledge of theories and principles of Medical Logistics, Class VIII distribution, sustainment, and life-cycle management, cold chain management, hazard material management and transport regulations, and of Class VIII materiel readiness.
Experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues and studies concerning Medical Logistics readiness and sustainment operations.
Experience performing a variety of actions, including analyzing and reporting requirements, and developing methods for acquiring the needed contracted services or products, or in developing alternative methods to meet requirements.
Experience identifying, analyzing, and making recommendations to resolve complex problems and situations and to develop procedure and guidelines to supplement established regulations and program guidance.
