Position may be filled as a temporary promotion or temporary reassignment not to exceed 2 years by a current permanent Army employee. Temporary promotions or temporary reassignments may be extended up to a maximum of five years and may be made permanent without further competition.
Position may be filled as a TERM appointment not to exceed 2 years if candidate is not a current permanent Army employee. TERM appointments may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.
Duties
Serve as Supervisor of the AECW Training Team with responsibility for all matters related to the mission and functions of the division. Plan work to be accomplished by subordinates by distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees.
Ensure that the organization strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services.
Plan and execute individual instruction for various courses supporting the requirements of various Combatant Commands pertaining to the readiness and mobilization of civilians, both Emergency Essential personnel and volunteers for deployments.
Research, coordinate, and prepare programs of instruction for expeditionary civilians throughout DoD and Department of Army.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Temporary Duty Travel (TDY) may be required up to 15% of duty time.

Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning and executing instruction of various courses related to readiness and mobilization; designing courseware/curriculum for an adult education learning environment; conducting evaluation and analysis of training programs for compliance and mission goals; performing research on emerging technologies, content and new instructional delivery methods.
