This position is a Program Specialist within the Data Enhancement & revenue Integrity Section of the Health Administration Service (HAS).
Duties
As a Program Specialist, you will:
Be responsible for providing a high-level of administrative and data support
Ensure the accurate creation, validation, and management of clinic profiles
Responsible for service-level clinical data reporting, accurate and timely data retrieval, providing technical advice and guidance to assist services with troubleshooting clinic access and utilization issues
Review reports, records, and statistical computations for accuracy and propriety
Establish in-depth training for HAS and other identified services to ensure staff are educated and accountable for clinical data management
Serve as primary point of contact and consultant for clinic profiling, scheduling functionality, clinic access, clinic utilization, and clinical data auditing
Promotion Potential: If selected at the GS-07 grade level, the selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, Tour varies 7am-3:30pm according to mission needs

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/29/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-07 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-06. For a GS-09 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-07. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
GS-07: You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-06 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Creditable specialized experience includes: Use of computer software for scheduling and client profiles; Produce and maintain a wide variety of documents using computer spreadsheets, database computer applications, and data organizational tools; Provide technical guidance and assistance with clinic establishment requests; and Working knowledge of medical terminology. OR,
Education: Applicants may substitute education for the required experience. To qualify based on education for this grade level you must have successfully completed a bachelor's or equivalent graduate degree, OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, OR LL.B. or J.D., if related. OR,
Combination: Applicants may also combine education and experience to qualify at this level.
GS-09: You may qualify based on your experience and/or education as described below:

Physical Requirements: The wok is primarily sedentary, but does require some walking, bending, stooping, standing, stretching, and carrying moderately heavy items such as but not limited to: manuals, documents, office supplies, and/or data file reports. Work also involves spending a significant amount of time performing keyboard data entry and prolonged periods of data review via computer monitor. Concentration and sustained performance under prolonged stress may be required due to time factors involved in completion of work assignments within specified deadlines.
