Duties

Administer and coordinate internal scheduling of projects with other elements within the Activity. Provide technical expertise necessary to accomplish all aspects of the work, impacting successful accomplishment of all Activity program objectives. Review and analyze existing programs to ensure special processes are being performed in accordance with locally developed guidelines. Conduct briefings pertinent to various programs and new program changes brought about by new directives, constraints, etc.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019 and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Pre-employment physical required as a condition of employment, prior to appointment, reassignment, or transfer, prior to reporting for duty. Subsequent annual physicals are required.
  • Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 15% of the time.
  • Incumbent is required to meet the ASNT Level II in Radiography certification prior to entry.
  • Incumbent is required to meet the ASNT Level III in Radiography certification within 2 years of entry.

Education

Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 13 months. Term appointments may be extended up to a maximum of 8 years.

Army employees who accept a time-limited appointment (to include employees with personal competitive status) will be separated at the end of the time-limited appointment date if the Not-to-Exceed (NTE) date is not extended. There are no return/reemployment rights to the position vacated prior to accepting the time-limited appointment. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent.

-For the GS-07, must have 52 weeks at the GS-05 (or equivalent)
-For the GS-09, must have 52 weeks at the GS-07 (or equivalent)
-For the GS-11, must have 52 weeks at the GS-09 (or equivalent)
