The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Division Chief for Industrial Security, Air Mobility Command, responsible for interpreting and implementing policies, executing authorities, developing guidance, standards and processes for the directorate's mission.
Duties
Serves as the program security specialist responsible for planning, organizing, and overseeing the end-to-end processes and programs across the MAJCOM for Information Security, accountable for the successful accomplishment of Information Protection mission goals, objectives and the secure accomplishment of all other MAJCOM mission goals and objectives.
Serves as the program security specialist overseeing, administering, enforcing, planning, and organizing operational functions of the MAJCOMs Insider Threat Program.
Serves as the program security specialist responsible for the implementation and sustainment of the MAJCOM PERSEC program.
Serves as the program security specialist for the MAJCOM Industrial Security program.

Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-12, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience includes applying knowledge of a wide range of DoD, AF, and MAJCOM program/physical/information/personnel security policies, directives, instructions, and guidance, knowledge of vulnerability assessments and security planning methodologies. Knowledge of DoD and AF processes for researching, developing, testing, evaluation and procurement of physical and information security technology and masterly of handling classified data. Expert knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and of Air Force and Command program goals and objectives, the sequence and timing of key operational events and milestones, and methods of evaluating the effectiveness of planning actions related to actual events; and the relationship of the various Command entities involved in overall program planning and execution of military operations and evaluations.
FEDERALTIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-12 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-13 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks. NOTE: Applicants applying as VEOA candidates who are current GS civil service employees or are prior GS civil service employees within the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of security disciplines, concepts, principles, practices, and requirements applicable to the information protection program to include Acquisition security, program protection, information security, industrial security, physical security, personnel security, operations security, foreign disclosure, and information assurance in order to perform the full range of complex security management responsibilities.
2. Knowledge of analytical methods for determining and evaluating vulnerability threats, intelligence data, and other specialized areas resulting in possible program compromise are required. Extensive knowledge of state-of-the-art art security equipment, devices, practices, and procedures with all IP security disciplines for planning and implementing protective methods and security procedures are required.
3. Knowledge of operational characteristics across the multiple-disciplinary construct of Information Protection, in order to apply unique management tools to develop an effective converged solution to systemic problematic issues affecting the Wing and serviced activities.
4. Knowledge of required security training concepts, programs, and procedures to develop security education programs, provide training, and assist in operating security.
5. Skill in planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating security programs to meet mission requirements and improve the security program.
6. Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of a small to medium sized organization and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing to successfully accomplish the mission.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
