About the Position: This position supports Combat Capabilities Development Command Soldier Center's (CCDC SC) Sustainment Directorate Engineered Systems Division System Integration & Sustainment Team.
This is a solicitation using DHA for STRL Mission Support and is a Modified TERM appointment NTE 2 years and may be extended up to 6 years. Contingent to specific conditions there may be an opportunity to be noncompetitively converted to a career-conditional or career appointment.
Duties
Assist in the creation and coordination of the Acquisition Requirements Package (ARP); and monitoring its progress.
Work with co-workers, managerial personnel, and contractors within and outside the immediate organization, to obtain and exchange information, coordinate work efforts and to maintain awareness of advancements in the field.
Prepare, coordinate, staff, and provide guidance in the interpretation and application of procurement laws, regulations policies, and procedures.
Present findings and results, in writing or orally, for higher-level review or publication.
May involve monitoring and resolving issues with the Acquisition Requirements Package (ARP); and challenging decisions that are not in the best interests of the program, organization and the Government.
Provide analysis and recommendations to the decision maker.
Ensure acquisition planning is in compliance with governing regulations and policies.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

- This position may require a one-year trial/probationary period.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: Three years of progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes work that involves 1) building customer relationships across an organization; 2) maintaining and/or creating job aides to collect and/or track information/data; 3) responding to requests/taskers and coordinating replies; 4) Using various functions of several types of office automation systems such as word processing, data base management, electronic spreadsheets, and graphics packages to complete assignments. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-01/GS-04).

Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
