This position is located in the Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Division of Budget, Budget Operations Branch. The supervisor is Maria Schofer.
This position is in the Bargaining Unit with the National Treasury Employees Union, Chapter 208.
This position is not subject to Confidential Financial Disclosure reporting requirements.
This position is not subject to security ownership restriction reporting requirements

The successful candidate will perform the full range of Budget Analyst duties.Such duties include but are not limited to:

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at the next lower grade level (GG-12) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Demonstrated ability to provide coordination and direction with regard to budget formulation and to resolve formulation questions and issues.
Demonstrated written and verbal skills to communicate complex budget issues effectively and concisely to senior leaders and to write budget narratives and impact statements.
Demonstrated ability to obtain, review, combine, analyze and present complex budget formulation and execution data, including the demonstrated ability to handle large datasets and deliver complex quantitative analyses using advanced features of Microsoft Excel, including functions and formulas; auto-filtering; pivot table reports; and charting tools
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is defined as: experience in budget formulation including developing budget requests, writing budget narratives and impact statements, developing budget books – Performance Budget to OMB and Congressional Budget Justification, presenting the budget request, conducting analyses using budget data.
