Qualifications
We are looking for at least one year of specialized experience related to this position as described below:
To qualify for the GS-12 level, you need to have at least one year of full-time experience equivalent to the GS-11 level defined as serving as experience in developing and/or interpreting guidance documents on enforcement and cost recovery strategies; experience participating in national workgroups for cost recovery guidance and statutes; experience developing and implementing presentations and training for staff.
Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:
- Knowledge of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures associated with investigation, enforcement, and litigation activities at Superfund sites.
- Ability to coordinate with a wide variety of Program technical and enforcement, financial, legal, and contracts managers and staff to accomplish cost documentation.
- Ability to provide briefings and other oral presentations to upper management officials and external interest groups.
- Knowledge or extrapolating from existing guidelines or cost documentation concepts to resolve complex, site-specific cost documentation-related issues or problems and modifies, adapts or extrapolates from existing cost recovery procedures, techniques or concepts as needed for appropriate resolution.
- Skill in calculating costs and reconciling financial reports.
