You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER in the Deputy Under Secretary of the Navy (Intelligence & Security).

Duties

You will provide advice, guidance and assistance on the interpretation and application of administrative directives and instructions, develop strategic long-range plans, and analyze plans to determine the impact on administrative processes. You will manage overall supply needs, services, material movement, real property and budget for the Hub. Incumbent will be responsible for budget formulation, justification, and execution. You will serve as action officer and Human Resources Activity Liaison on all aspects of civilian personnel management, reorganization, organization structuring, position management and manpower utilization. You will serve as the primary Defense Travel System authorizer for the Command, necessitating knowledge of temporary duty travel, per diem, regulations, and budget; assist personnel if any problems with travel authorizations and/or vouchers occur. You will direct and coordinate all administrative functions, advise on administrative matters, provide guidance and advice on the full range of administrative support services, and establish and maintain continuing relationships with key personnel. You will be responsible for the review and oversight of a variety of administrative programs to include: distribution and dissemination of incoming mail, internal controls, records management, publication and forms management, and time cards. You will assist in the enforcement, compliance and adherence of the physical security program, assist in maintaining visitor control registry, arrange visit authorizations to gain access to restricted areas, and issues badges.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • The incumbent will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final TOP SECRET/SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is eligible for ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: developing and implementing administrative policies; AND providing administrative support on a wide range of personnel management decisions (e.g. manpower and resource management, training, monitoring personnel actions, and preparing a variety of correspondence).
