This position is located in the Department of Homeland Security, Office of the Chief Security Officer, Threat Management Operations, Insider Threat Program. The primary purpose of this position is to direct, lead, and supervise the Technology & Information Management Branch personnel, manage the technical operational support of DHS ITP, develop and provide strategic vision for Information Technology requirements, and engage IT stakeholders. Non-BU: This is a non-bargaining unit position.

Duties

As a Supervisory IT (Cybersecurity Specialist), GS-2210-14, your typical work assignments may include: 1. Responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing training of subordinates as related to cyber operations, insider threat analysis, and IT support. Plans and schedules work in a manner promoting a smooth flow and even distribution. 2. Coordinates plans and schedules with other organization managers and customers as appropriate. 3. Identify the need for changes in DHS ITP priorities and takes action to implement such changes. 4. Structures assignments to effectively plan, deploy, monitor and maintain the DHS ITP technology Coordinates with other DHS Enterprise managers and customers as appropriate. 5. Establishes metrics and analysis systems to ensure actions are timely and reviewed at critical points. Accepts, amends, or rejects work presented by subordinates. Qualifications

Basic Requirements: For all positions in the 2210 Occupational Series individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services. Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. Specialized Experience: You qualify for the GS-14 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, performing duties such as: 1. Having Supervised team leads and subordinates within the Technology & Information Management Branch of DHS ITP. 2. Able Manage the technical operation to support DHS ITP. 3. Developing and providing strategic Vision for Information Technology requirements and 4. Able to engage with IT Stakeholders All qualifications and eligibility requirements must be met by the closing date of the announcement. Time-in-grade: Current General Schedule (GS) federal employees, and those that have served in GS positions within the last 52 weeks, must have served 52 weeks at the next lower grade, or a combination of the next lower grade level and an equivalent band in the federal service by the closing of this announcement. Note: Current or former Federal employees MUST submit a copy of their SF-50 Form which shows competitive service appointment ("position occupied" block 34 on the SF-50 should show a "1"), tenure group (block 24 should show a 1 or 2), grade, and salary.
