This position is located in the Small Business Administration, Performance Planning and CFO in Washington, D.C. This Budget Officer serves as the technical authority on the Federal budget process and on matters of budgetary law, regulation, and policy for the agency.
Requirements
- You must be a U.S. Citizen
- You must successfully complete a background investigation.
- You may be required to serve a one-year probationary period.
- You may be required to serve a one year supervisory probationary period.
Qualifications
GS-15: One year of specialized experience, equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service, obtained in either the private or public sector: planning, directing, and monitoring a broad, complex budgetary program involving budget formulation, presentation, and execution; overseeing the development and implementation of budgetary policies, programs, and systems in accordance with the Government Performance and Results Act (GPRA), government laws, regulations, policies to include the Federal Credit Reform Act and OMB Circular A-11; managing budget submissions to senior management of large organizations; authorizing expenditures of funds; preparing and presenting program and budget briefings; serving as the technical authority on budgetary matters; providing technical and administrative direction to others.
