You will serve as the Weapon Integration Kill-Chain Engineering Development (WIKCED) Project Office's (PO) Deputy Director in the RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT GROUP/WEAPONS & ENERGETICS DEPT/
WEAPONS SYS & PROJECT ENGINEERING DIV/WEAPONS PROJECT MGMT BR of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE.
Duties
You will oversee and coordinate the technical integrity and execution efforts of all WIKCED products supporting the technical "conscience" vision for technology development, maturation, and demonstration for the USN Long Range Fires mission areas.
You will provide requirements definition, risk identification, planning and test and evaluation support for the portfolio of projects and commodities of the office.
You will participate in the local Change Control Board (CCB) and acts as CCB Chair as delegated by the WIKCED Director.
You will assist the WIKCED Director with preparation of budgets to include 2-5 year estimates or as required by sponsors.
You will provide leadership to the command which may include but is not limited to participation in technical reviews for products outside WIKCED, mentorship of junior personnel, and technical briefings as required by NAWCWD Command.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band (DA-05=GS 12/13) or grade level in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following:
1) Leading diverse technical and support teams to insure project milestones are met while supporting multiple sponsors objectives and schedule requirements.
2) Applying Risk Management Framework (RMF) application and process for system accreditation.
3) Planning multi-year schedules and developing budgets to meet program technical milestones for sponsor execution planning.
4) Identifying critical staffing needs to meet project objectives and timelines.
5) Developing and transition of capabilities/programs from S&T, through RDT&E, to operational status.
6) Applying SAP security policy within the command.
7) Applying COMSEC policy, tracking, and utilization of COMSEC equipment.
8) Developing program documentation and coordination of field support requirements to meet system. integration, live test and evaluation milestones.
9) Developing and mentoring support and technical staff to support WIKCED and command requirements for skilled program and technical personnel.
