About the Position: Serve as a Strategic Planner responsible for strategic planning for all Army-wide programs under the purview of the ASA (IE&E) in the areas of Installations, Housing and Partnerships, Energy and Sustainability, Environment, Safety and Occupational Health, and Installation Modernization. Also, ensures IE&E responsibilities and programs are appropriately represented in Army and DoD strategic forums and documents. The position is located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.

Duties

Plans, evaluates, reviews, monitors, and prioritizes schedules, milestones, goals, objectives, and other significant programmatic requirements. Writes and briefs strategic concepts, plans and orders to include Army Senior Leader correspondence. Maintains familiarity with matters of major significance within the office; relevant social, political and economic developments. Plans, and coordinates the various activities involved in concept team research activities once a project is assigned. Ensures all aspects of the development and operations of the SI Directorate adhere to ethical standards of Department of Defense (DoD), and the Army, as well as the highest standards and rigor of academic research. Provides recommendations and courses of action on all matters for senior leadership.

GS-14: Specialized Experience: Your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: formulating military strategic planning concepts that support national security objectives, force structure plans and/or installation support planning; interpreting data or planning approaches for developing standards to meet organizational mission; and providing consultant or advisory services to senior leadership for decision making. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Influencing/NegotiatingOrganizational Performance AnalysisPlanning and EvaluatingWriting Time in Grade Requirement GS-13: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
