About the Position: This position is located within Tripler Army Medical Center (TAMC) in the Directorate of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine, in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Duties
Order stocked medical items via point-of-use systems such as PYXIS or OMINICELL or utilizing a handheld terminal (HHT).
Receive and unload supplies from warehouse deliveries, prime vendor or vendors via credit card purchase.
Conduct periodic inventory or cyclic counts of point-of-use systems and/or shelves to determine usage and to enter orders via point-of-use interface system or the HHT.
Receive and inspect incoming material, verifying against various associated documents.
Maintain stockage, keeping organized and properly labeled and assisting activities in making timely modifications.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential". In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency types, incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- The duties of this position require the incumbent to possess or obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- This position has a requirement to lift up to 35 lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
- This position requires shift work to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays, or special situations. Employee shifts are rotated on a regularly scheduled basis (0600-2200, and may also include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays).
- Employees assigned to a medical treatment facility are required to be screened for applicable immunizations or pre-existing immunity based on occupational risk, regardless of job series.
- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Forklift Operator License within 120 days of employment.

Physical Efforts: Continual standing on hard floors for extended periods of time, bending, stooping and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions is required. Lifting and carrying of items weighing up to 70 pounds is required. The heavier items are moved with weight handling equipment, push carts, or with assistance from co-workers. Moderate physical effort is used in operating hand and foot controls while driving, turning, starting, and stopping the fork lift truck and raising, lowering, and tilting the loads being moved. Strain is caused by the vibration of the fork lift truck.
Working Conditions: Work is performed in climate-controlled areas, storage rooms, etc. Normally is not exposed to extreme heat or cold conditions. Work is done inside or outside in areas that may be hot, damp, cold, drafty or poorly lighted. May be regularly exposed to the possibility of cuts, scrapes, bruises, abrasions, falls, injury from falling stock, physical handling of moderately heavy items or moving materials handler equipment. May be exposed to dust, dirt, and to high noise levels. When working around hazardous materials, may be subject to exposure from hazards, flammables, or chemical fumes. Work may require wearing protective clothing such as hard-hats, steel-toed shoes, rubber gloves, masks, safety glasses, back supports and harnesses/belts.
