Duties
You will serve as the Travel and Bankcard Coordinator in the Agency Program Coordinator Division, Manpower and Personnel Department at the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NAVCOMTELSTA), San Diego.
You will serve as the Defense Travel Administrator implementing and managing the day-to-day activities during system operations.
You will be responsible and accountable for the site’s data requirements, including the user profiles, organization hierarchy, routing groups, per diem rates and Lines of Accounting, and travel budgets.
You will acquire and update personnel data that will be used to establish traveler profiles in Defense Travel System (DTS).
You will maintain the correct Lines of Accounting in the DTS database to corresponding fiscal year budgets so that travelers will travel on the correct fund citation in relation to their organization and duty status.
You will also serve as the Government Travel Card Coordinator (GTCC) responsible for the initiation, administrative coordination and issuance of the Smart Pay Government Travel Card (GTC).
You will be responsible for assisting employees in completing temporary duty travel vouchers.
You will be responsible for program oversight and quality assurance.
You will serve as the Alternate Government Purchase Card Agency Program Coordinator performing all aspects regarding the administration of the command’s program.
You will direct travel and plant property management and accountability for the department, Office of the Commanding Officer and Special Staff Assistants.
Requirements

Qualifications
Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled. Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by:
-Experience using current bank card programs to pull reports, request modifications and changes, add appropriate financial data and answer data calls.
-Experience creating internal control procedures to effectively detect the misuse of a travel credit card and purchase credit card to deactivate or cancel cards immediately.
-Experience ensuring assigned travel budget estimates and purchase card limits are within reason and do not exceed budgetary amounts.
-Experient using MS Office Suite in providing briefings, status updates, and processes to personnel.

Education
Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree;
or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree;
or LL.B. or J.D., if related.
COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements for the position.
