The incumbent will serve in a developmental assignment, to provide the individual with the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform the full range of duties as described in the target position description. The full performance level of this position is GS-0303-07.
Duties
The incumbent serves in a developmental capacity at the GS-0303-06 level. Key functions will be similar to those described at the full performance level of the target position. However, during the developmental assignment, full performance range and level of selected functions will not be completely delegated to the employee until proper orientation and training have been completed and the incumbent has demonstrated the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to accomplish the work at the full performance level.
Maintain appropriate records and supporting documentation
Maintain security or confidentiality of records, equipment, or computer access
Review correspondence and communications and determine which items require immediate attention and confidential in nature
Enter data into computer
Assist with the facilitation of Nursing Orientation
Coordinate speakers for Nursing Orientation
Use a computer to set up meetings and presentations
Develop, update, and deliver presentation materials
Timekeeping for Research, Innovation, and Development Service
Review and explain payroll, timekeeping, and HR System
Use a computer to create, edit, print, retrieve, or update files
Use a computer to process and analyze data
Review letters or documents to determine if they conform with policies or regulations
Process incoming forms, records, or other documents
Ensure proper implementation of instructions, policies, or procedures
Work Schedule: 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday

Physical Requirements: The work is mostly sedentary and is performed in an office setting.
Promotion Potential: The selectee may be promoted to the full performance level without further competition when all regulatory, qualification, and performance requirements are met. Selection at a lower grade level does not guarantee promotion to the full performance level.

GS-06 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.
Specialized experience includes: Maintaining appropriate records, files, documents, confidentiality of files and records; drafting and reviewing correspondence; data entry; use of a personal computer to create, draft, edit, print, retrieve and update correspondence and files.
GS-07 grade level: One year of specialized experience (equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the federal service); experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSA's) and other characteristics to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled, in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience includes: Performing work that involves collecting, formatting, basic analysis, compilation, and/or tracking of a wide variety of data and statistical information in support of an organization's program operation; creating, maintaining and updating patient information databases; performing a variety of administrative and support type duties in such areas as administration, budget, records and files management, property accountability and reports; monitoring/tracking credentials and licensing requirements for professional staff assigned to Non-Institutional Care Reviews, revising, analyzing and evaluating the accomplishments of various office administrative functions, such as records management, reports control, forms control and administrative standard operating procedures.
Note: Experience must be fully documented on your resume and must include job title, duties, month and year start/end dates AND hour worked per week.
There is no educational substitution for the GS-06 level.
