The Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System is hiring one (1) Program Support Assistant for the CTRS (Care Treatment & Rehabilitation Services) Program of the Community Engagement and Reintegration Service in Los Angeles, California. The primary purpose of the position is to perform secretarial duties in support of an individual and in some cases, the subordinate staff of that individual as well, by performing general office work for the CTERS program.
Duties
The incumbent performs administrative work involving the collection, compilation, and/or tracking of data and statistical information in support of an organizations program operation. Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Assist in the planning, review, and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies.
Establish protocols for incoming data organizes computerized data sets and retrieves computerized data.
Perform a basic analysis of the data and generates a variety of reports.
Evaluate documents e. sampling plans, permit applications, and other data collection forms.
Coordinate incoming data form a variety of sources.
Review documents reports, and/or applications for omissions and inconsistencies, and ensures data entry is complete and accurate.
Enter pertinent information into an automated tracking system-Maintains automated system of program-specific data to track suspense on items such as project milestones, progress reports, funding accomplishments compliance strategies etc.
Perform office automation duties using such software applications as electronic mail, desktop publishing, calendar, spreadsheet, database, and/or graphics ect.
Troubleshoot user application problems such as the use of commands mering data formatted with different software applications to recovery procedures in the event of power outages, surges, or command errors.
Processes incoming and outgoing materials such as correspondence, reports, memorandum, and other form of written communication.
Develop background information and prepares outlines for the supervisors public speaking engagements, papers, and correspondence/reports.

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 02/27/2024.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-7 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-6. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade. Note: Time-In-Grade requirements also apply to former Federal employees applying for reinstatement as well as current employees applying for Veterans Employment Opportunities Act of 1998 (VEOA) appointment.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-6 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: perform secretarial duties in support of an individual and in some cases, the subordinate staff of that individual as well, by performing general office work auxiliary to the work of the organization.

Physical Requirements: The work will involve standing, walking, kneeling, bending, squatting, lifting and carrying of light items 30% or more of the time. The work is typically performed in an office environment. The work involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions.
