You will serve as a Training Technician in the Operations Section, Personnel Administration School (PAS) of TRAINING AND EDUCATION COMMAND. ***This Job Opportunity Announcement is using an additional online assessment tool to evaluate applicants. Duties

You will release course schedules and quotas according to command policy. You will prepare correspondence, reports, tabulated material, memoranda, etc. in either rough draft or final form. You will maintain and process student academic records and files. You will prepare and/or coordinate preparation of academic or training documentation (e.g., diplomas, transcripts, files, etc). You will update, revise, sort, calculate and manipulate data in spreadsheets to meet multiple report formats and produce standard reports. You will conduct educational and training information requirement calls in support of the command staff.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

  • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • The position often requires irregular hours.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following: 1) Providing routine administrative support such as directing phone calls, greeting visitors, managing correspondence, maintaining files and/or ordering supplies; 2) Preparing briefing agenda, handouts, charts and graphs, as necessary, conduct formal and informal briefings for audiences; 3) Using automated tracking systems to capture and retain data for reporting and budgeting purposes; and 4) Analyzing and providing recommendations for current and future training capacity, prerequisites, and academic preparation in relation to scheduling conferences, course content review boards, and other external requirements for training Additional qualification information can be found from the following Office of Personnel Management web site: https://www.opm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/#url=List-by-Occupational-Series.
