You will serve as an EDUCATION TECHNICIAN in the VOLUNATRY EDUCATION, LIFELONG LEARNING, EDUCATION CENTER PROGRAM of MARINE CORPS BASE.
Duties
You will provide basic education information to military personnel, their family members, and other individuals seeking assistance at the Education Office.
You will provide information by interviewing personnel with regard to their educational desires and correlating with available resources, researching required prerequisites, and enrollment procedures.
You will assist the Test Control Officer with the proper administration and security of tests, in accordance with Marine Corps, and DoD regulations and directives and approved educational testing techniques.
You will provide routine information in connection with the Federal and State career guidance plans.
You will provide information on educational requirements and methods of acquiring necessary skills or training.
You will process routine Tuition Assistance (TA) requests and are responsible for ensuring the requests are screened for compliance with Marine Corps policies and determine TA eligibility.
You will provide assistance to those requesting Veterans Administration educational benefits, and provide information to interested students regarding grants and loans available for educational purposes.
Requirements

- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing educational services and information to support the daily operations of an education program.
