You will serve as a Education Technician of MARINE CORPS BASE.
Duties
You will provide basic education information to military personnel, their family members, and other individuals seeking assistance at the Base Education Center.
You will provide information by interviewing personnel about their educational and professional development desires and correlating with available resources, reaching professional development goals, required prerequisites, enrollment procedures, etc.
You will process routine Tuition Assistance (TA) requests.
You will assist the military personnel with enrollment and completion of TA forms and course registration forms required by institutions.
You will assist personnel in selecting and enrollment in appropriate career fields and assist in completing published requirements.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-06) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing a variety of educational program support duties for adult learners including daily operational assignments, tuition assistance/financial aid, and customer support. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Assist personnel with matters related to tuition assistance or financial aid. 2) Providing routine and basic educational information to customers. 3) Performing office administration duties related to a post-secondary educational program.
