About the position:
This position will be assigned to the Range 42 driving range.
This is a Flexible position, which means you may be scheduled from 0 to 40 hours per week based on mission.
Duties
Duties and Responsibilities:
Recreation Aids at the range may be required to perform any or all of the following duties:
Prepares list of golfers on first come first serve basis to ensure smooth starting from tees. Checks registration sheet for signature and membership cards for eligibility. Refers nonmembers to appropriate personnel for proper payment of green fees. Assists golfers in receiving sufficient number of players for game.
Polices balls from driving range and fills ball dispensing machines. Cleans and stocks latrines on golf course. Checks carts when return for cleanliness, removes trash and washes cart. Places carts on battery charger to prepare for the following day.
Receives recreation (golf) equipment and inspects for unusual wear or damage and returns to proper storage. Maintains, cleans and performs minor repairs to equipment. Ensures patrons observe club safety rules and regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned. May be required to work an uncommon tour of duty which may include weekends, nights and holiday

Qualifying Experience:
This is an entry level position. No previous experience required. Ideal candidates would possess practical knowledge of recreational golf activities, rules and procedures

Education
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
