This position is located in a Field Office of the National Labor Relations Board.
Incumbent serves as the Administrative Officer (Office Manager) to the Regional Director, managing the office administrative staff and all administrative management services for the Region to ensure effective and efficient case handling by attorneys and field examiners.
Duties
As a Administrative Officer (Office Manager) GS-0341-11, your typical work assignments may include:
Initiating personnel actions.
Coordinating all official travel and maintaining supporting documentation.
Analyzing and maintaining case inventory to plan and assign work to employees.
Establishing production and quality standards for work completion and providing guidance to employees on case processing.
Making adjustments to processes and workflows to ensure efficient operations and available resources.
Other duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Statement:
The ideal candidate for the Administrative Officer (Office Manager) position has experience coordinating the
administrative workflow of an office. The candidate possesses analytical skills to oversee and give meticulous attention
to detail to ensure that the daily workflow of the office is completed and/or routed and tracked successfully. The ideal
candidate has excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate both effectively orally and in writing.
Experience serving as a Contract Representative or experience assisting in the purchasing, budgeting process is
preferred.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 grade level that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the GS-09, Administrative Officer (Office Manager), and that is typically related to the work of the position to be filled.
Specialized experience includes:
Planning and providing management and program services for operational activities of an office; and
Serving as a liaison to resolve matters and coordinate activities related to budget, facilities, and human resources; and
Establishing internal procedures to promote efficiencies to overcome obstacles in the administrative process.

OR
EDUCATION:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree; or possession of a LL.M. degree, if related. Graduate level education must demonstrate the competencies necessary to do the work of the position.

TIME-IN-GRADE REQUIREMENT
Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year of experience at the GS-09 grade level or equivalent grade level of federal service is required to qualify for the GS-11 grade level.
