About the Position: This position is located at Fort Cavazos, Texas.
Duties
Oversee planning and execution of visits to facility by general officers, elected officials, foreign delegations of all ranks and distinguished civilians.
Plan, direct, coordinate, executes and supervises the conduct of facility programs and ceremonies.
Provide advice and assistance on protocol matters to the Command Group and others throughout the command and outside the command as required.
Determine proper protocol in connection with ceremonies, receptions, official luncheons and dinners.
Formulate and recommends protocol and distinguished visitor policies and procedures to the Commander and Chief of Staff.
Plan, develop and/or coordinate the development of detailed itineraries based upon time and place of arrival, size and significance of the group.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- Immunization screening is required. Hepatitis B immunization is required for all positions with direct patient contact. Applicants may be required to show proof of other immunizations depending on the type of position.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes planning social functions, official visits, and/or ceremonies, producing information packets for conference attendees, and developing travel itineraries for officials attending functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. [remove LL.M., if unrelated] in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: [insert applicable field(s) of study].
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
