This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of Safety and Code Compliance. The incumbent serves as a Data Analyst and is responsible for collecting data, conducting data and trend analyses, tracking metrics, design flow charts and identifying process improvement opportunities, producing customized reports and presentations, and providing authoritative guidance to OSCC leaders. 

Duties

This position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Office of Safety and Code Compliance. The incumbent serves as a Data Analyst and is responsible for collecting data, conducting data and trend analyses, tracking metrics, design flow charts and identifying process improvement opportunities, producing customized reports and presentations, and providing authoritative guidance to OSCC leaders and employees utilizing knowledge gained from OSCC program directors to accomplish the AOC Vision and Mission.

Qualifications

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-13 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.Specialized experience for this position includes: Professional knowledge of methods, techniques, and tools used to analyze organizational and mission performance. These include statistical techniques, as well as comparative, trend, diagnostic, root cause, and predictive methods that deliver key performance information used to inform decisions, actions, communications, and accountability systems. Comprehensive knowledge of a wide range of qualitative and/or quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems. Skilled in effectively expressing information, taking into account the audience and the nature of the information, and making clear and convincing oral and written presentations for a diversity of audiences including government senior leaders, public garden colleagues, and foreign dignitaries. Ability to be resourceful and exercise a high level of initiative, judgment, and commitment to accomplishing work, often under short deadlines, to program goals and results in support of AOC’s mission/vision/goals.
