This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Clinical Standards and Quality, Systems Implementation Staff.
As a Supverisory IT Specialist (Apps Soft), GS-2210-14, you will serve as the Deputy Director for SIS, providing oversight and guidance for information systems, projects, and programs for the Health Care Quality Information System and the Quality Payment Program (QPP).
Duties
Oversee IT product development using agile methodologies and integrated project teams.
Negotiate schedule, cost, and deliverables with project teams and functional activity groups regarding sensitive program issues in order to meet operational and business objectives.
Make improvements, solves problems, and/or takes corrective action when problems arise.
Manage activities and resources to mitigate risk.

I have IT related experience, demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience obtained in either the private or public sector, and/or completion of specific, intensive training that demonstrates that I possess each of the following four competencies:

In order to qualify for the GS-14 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Leading agile teams to successfully deliver efficient and effective IT systems; 2) Providing input to formulate contracts documentation and/or budget needs associated with projects; and 3) Identifying areas of improvement within an organization.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
