National Defense University (NDU) supports the joint warfighter by providing rigorous Joint Professional Military Education to members of the U.S. Armed Forces and select others in order to develop leaders who have the ability to operate and creatively think in an unpredictable and complex world.
Duties
Provides expert advice, guidance, and recommendations for courses of action to NDU leadership, staff, and faculty for accomplishing annual and long-range objectives for the administration and management of the international students' programs.
Ensures processes and procedures are established to effectively deal with coordinating and/or acquiring any missing information and resolving problems for incoming and outgoing International Fellows.
Oversee budget formulation, management, execution, and reporting for all program operations, as well as logistical and civilian pay costs incurred by ISMO and NDU in support of international student programs.
Serve as the NDU policy expert for Security Assistance/Security Cooperation Training program matters.
Advise, counsel, and collaborate with NDU senior leadership, ISMO managers and staff, and other NDU components regarding related personnel administration, training modifications, and program management issues and concerns.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience: You must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as: experience with program administration, management, and execution, financial planning and management, and expertise in security cooperation/security assistance programs.
Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
Education
Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
