You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST NETWORK of the NETWORKS & COMMS - TAMPA (55220) in the COMMUNICATIONS AND NETWORKS (55000) Competency of NAVWARSYSCEN ATLANTIC CHARLESTON SC

Duties

You will support the 552 SATCOM and Voice Competency Manager as the 55220 Network and Comms - Tampa Supervisor. You will support delivery of deployable satellite communication systems that provide secure voice and data. You will supervise and manage all mandatory and statutory requirements such as employee performance, travel approval, and training coordination. You will apply experience with deployable satellite antenna terminals, satellite modems and hubs, inline network encryptors, network acceleration devices, voice and video over IP, and networking at the branch and WAN levels. You will oversee efforts related to Systems Engineering support for deployable secure IP network-based SATCOM Communications on the Move (COTM) systems in all phases of the acquisition life cycle. • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Manage and oversee research, development and deployment of basic to advanced communications architectures, systems, and technologies to establish, maintain, and/or improve satellite communications systems and interfaces. . Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving. 1. IT-related experience demonstrating this competency include: Define and maintain network architecture and infrastructure. 2.
