This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: This Logistics Management Specialist, NH-0346-03, is located at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland.

Duties
Researches, analyzes, and evaluates depot operation processes and procedures for effectiveness and efficiency, and develop and implement process and procedure improvements for unit readiness through the sustainment of weapon systems.
Recommends/implements the allocation of communication - electronic depot repair for DOD among commercial/government facilities consistent with regulatory guidance, industrial capabilities, economic limitations, and impact of state-of-the-art systems.
Works with FORSCOM in conjunction with the Corps to ensure work loading requirements for systems are synchronized and align with Unit RDDs.
Ensures that depot and below depot sustainment planning and execution supports the ReARMM regionally based training objectives.
Develops, recommends and devises plans in conjunction with WSD to ensure long term sustainment for legacy equipment as a result of modernization is considered and sourced as applicable.
Develops and provides briefings and reports to senior members of the Command, major subordinate commands, AMC, DA, other services, DOD agencies, and OSD.
Coordinates with depot personnel, suppliers, transporters, and contractors to continuously develop and/or implement evolving processes, procedures, and technology to improve unit readiness across the Army.
Participates in joint working groups and equipping conferences.
Requirements

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. To qualify, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/level (NH-02). Specialized experience: 1) leading a group of professionals and technical employees responsible for the oversight and implementation of acquisition logistics processes and initiatives; (2) developing and/or providing guidance on logistics policies and procedures for depot operations and performance; and 3) develop and present briefings utilizing logistic programs such as IGC, LMP, AESIP, GCSS-A.
