This position is located with Forest Service Business Operations, Office of Regulatory & Management Service, Correspondence, FACA, & Knowledge Managment office. The incumbent of this position will perform analysis and advisory assignment s related to the effectivness of Forest Service programs and operations. Duties

You will lead modernization efforts as liaison to Department and Agency leadership for project related matters. You will guide and oversee program process and reporting to ensure quality, sustainability, efficiency, and transparency within the process while ensuring alignment with Departmental and Agency policy, priorities, and outcomes. You will coordinate Team Activities, communication, and liaison with Supervisor and Leadership. You will represent and lead at Departmental, Agency and staff meetings. You will work with Correspondence Management systems and government correspondence process (from intake to closure).

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.
  • Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.

  • Successful completion of one year probationary period, unless previously served.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the eligibility and qualifications requirements as defined below by the closing date of the announcement. Provide course descriptions as necessary. Specialized Experience Requirement: For the GS-13: You must have one-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as a majority of the following: Performing analytical, planning, and evaluative assignments concerned with the administrative and operational aspects of organizations, programs, services and management; conducting administrative and management, studies, evaluations, and improvement projects; developing and recommending policies, standards, and procedures for national programs; participating in management and program activity reviews by evaluating approaches used, results obtained and compliance with policies and standards; and compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and managing information. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
