You will serve as a Program Manager in the Naval Special Warfare Program Office of PEO UNMANNED AND SMALL COMBATANTS.
Duties
You will be responsible for successful execution of all aspects of the MK11 and MK8 SEAL Delivery Vehicle (SDV) Program.
You will lead MK11 and MK8 SDV activities and efforts of over 80 people including direct report Government employees, support contractors, technical support organizations, and the prime contractor.
You will ensure the MK11 and MK8 SDV Team executes tasking in their respective functional areas and provide mentorship and guidance as needed.
You will oversee numerous Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and Working Groups which have been established to address various program issues that require special focus.
You will report directly to the Naval Special Warfare Principal Assistance Program Manager (military) and (civilian).
You will formulate strategies and tactics to acquire and allocate resources to achieve program goals, milestones and schedule requirements.
You will represent the organization to senior level personnel internal and external to the Department to provide written and oral advice, direction, or reports on program concepts and status.
You will diffuse and address controversial and sensitive program issues.
You will establish work assignments to be accomplished by the employees in the program, set priorities, and prepare schedules for work completion.
You will ensure the timely performance of satisfactory work efforts.
You will evaluate employee performance, recommend appropriate incentives, and initiate corrective actions.

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing program or project requirements (e.g. contracting, resource allocation, manpower, logistics, strategic planning, risk assessments, project planning and schedules, workforce performance, budget planning, development and execution, process improvement, quality assurance, or financial management) to support the production, development, acquisition, construction, modernization, or maintenance of underwater vessels or vehicles, or submarines.
