You will serve as an Ordnance Operations Manager in the ORDNANCE OPERATIONS DIVISION (272) of NAVY MUNITIONS COMMAND.
Duties
You will be responsible for the safe handling, storage, and transshipment of conventional ordnance as well as maintenance of magazines and storage areas.
You will manage the detachments ordnance qualification and certification program.
You will ensure that work is accomplished in accordance with safety and security regulations.
You will evaluate ordnance handling program performance; identify, investigate, and correct deficiencies.
You will plan, supervise, and evaluate the execution of these programs to affect optimum manpower, budget, and equipment utilization.
You will plan and supervise the processing of information and data collecting systems.
You will analyze the interface of the material movement functions between the various operating functions within the command.
You will direct, coordinate, or oversee work of subordinates.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience planning and supervising the processing of information and data collecting systems.
Experience analyzing the interface of the material movement functions between the various operating functions within the installation.
Experience directing, coordinating, and overseeing work of subordinates.
Experience communicating both orally and in writing with other units and organizations and communicating in written form the results of detailed analysis, findings and recommendations to higher ranking management officials.
Experience in handling ordnance materials.
