You will serve as a Facilities Management Specialis in the Facilities Management Division of NAVFAC ENGINEERING CMD MID-ATLANTIC,at Naval Weapons Station Earle, NJ.

Duties

You will analyze facility and equipment requirements against customer needs. You will collect work order data from customers and plant maintenance personnel to enter into appropriate systems. You will coordinate and conduct meetings for Facility Management Division customers to verify mission objectives are being met. You will develop initial project scopes and cost estimates for customer and mission requirements.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-09) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector: 1) Knowledge of various work trades and engineering disciplines and safety regulations associated with facility maintenance, sufficient to determine equipment, facility, or service deficiencies and recommend appropriate resolutions. 2. General knowledge of construction, application, properties, operation and limitations of engineering systems, processes, machinery, devices, and materials. 3. Knowledge and ability to read, comprehend, and interpret engineering drawings, sketches, blueprints, and technical manuals, sufficiently to determine requirements in work scopes. 4. Ability to perform cost comparison studies to determine feasibility of projects and consider alternative solutions.
