You will serve as a ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT ASSISTANT (OA) in the CENTER FOR SERVICE SUPPORT. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-12264967-24-DRR. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.

Duties

You will maintain files or records to keep documents organized according to the organization's polices or procedures. You will generate reports to obtain or provide information related to organizational, administrative, or procedural matters. You will assist with interpreting personnel management procedures and administrative policy, and makes recommendations regarding areas that do not comply with regulatory requirements. You will create reports using database software and programming to update managers on current work status.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. (Occasional travel)
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Create reports or documents using Microsoft Office Products (e.g., Word, Excel, Access) for office automation duties. 2. Operate standard office equipment (e.g., telephone, scanner, fax, photocopier, computer) to complete routine clerical assignments. 3. Compose final form of a variety of general correspondence such as official letterhead letters, memorandums, military evaluations, military awards, personnel appraisals, appointment letters, or civilian awards in support of an admin program. 4. Proofread reports, documents or correspondence to correct format, spelling, or grammatical errors. and 5. Prepare documents using office automation systems such as word processing, databases, and graphic software.
