You will serve as a EVENT SUPPORT ASSISTANT/PASSPORT AGENT (OA) in the PROTOCOL AND EVENTS DEPARTMENT ofNAVAL WAR COLLEGE.
Duties
You will use an electronic travel system, such as Defense Travel System (DTS), to create travel documents.
You will answer questions or explain information to customers within and outside the organization.
You will conduct planning sessions for special events and activities.
You will maintain a schedule of appointments and manage a detailed tracking system for passport/VISA applications.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.
- This is a bargaining unit position.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Preparing event materials (e.g., agendas, web sites, brochures, programs, name tags, place cards, printing and assembling background material, etc.) in support of the execution of event; 2) Assisting with coordinating events and providing logistics support; and 3) Using the Defense Travel System to prepare invitational travel orders and vouchers.
