Duties
As a Public Health Advisor, you will:
Establish and or apply evaluation criteria and standards for multiple programs.
Serve as a principal representative for complex public health programs or projects.
Identify public health product problems and issues that are unsafe or ineffective.
Provide high level advisory services to agencies and organizations.
Resolve difficult management and administrative problems that prevent effective program application.
Research and analyze the causes of product problems.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify at the GS-12 grade level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level, which must include the following experience: directly related to the position which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs) to successfully perform the duties of the position to include: experience coordinating public health related matters between and among Federal, local, state, and/or international agencies addressing public health issues.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
