You will serve as a Administrative Program Coordinator in the Marine Corps District S-1 Division, Marine Corps Recruiting Command of 8th MARINE CORPS DISTRICT.
Duties
You will respond to correspondence/inquires where the topic is adequately covered by precedent or guidelines.
You will maintain records to meets position management reporting requirements.
You will perform workforce studies in order to recommend actions to balance manpower requirements.
You will analyze personnel and program management functions to ensure compliance with command policy and mission objectives.
You will evaluate position descriptions to ensure major duties, including factor level descriptions, are accurately written.
You will provide technical staff support to management and employees on personnel policies, procedures, or entitlements.
You will service as the Approving Official (AO) for temporary duty travel (TAD), and local travel; certifying payment of TAD and local travel entitlements ensuring vouchers and documents are prepared in accordance with the JTR.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
- Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
- You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
- Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.

- Occasional travel within the command will be required to assist in the execution of conference, meeting and events.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning, developing and carrying out duties regarding personnel (military and civilian), and administrative support.
