This position is located in Department of Homeland Security (DHS), United States Coast Guard (USCG), Assistant Commandant for C4IT (CG-6) located in Washington, DC.
Duties
The incumbent will manage the alignment of enterprise-level IT systems and cybersecurity across the United States Coast Guard (USCG) IT Enterprise and will support and engage with USCG IT partners as they consume enterprise services to deliver core USCG missions to IT consumers.

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Specialized experience must include:
The applicant must meet ALL of the conditions below.
To qualify for the GS-15 level, applicants should have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 level in the Federal service.
Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting at least 3 of 6 of the following:
Leading the development of long-range plans and requirements for IT systems that anticipate, identify, evaluate, mitigate, and minimize security risks;
Developing, coordinating, and implementing IT service management strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of IT services;
Identifying the need for changes based on new security technologies or threats, testing and implementing new policies, and instituting measures to ensure awareness and compliance;
Collaborating with key stakeholders, including external agencies, internal IT teams, business units, or external vendors, to align IT services for policy & regulatory compliance, business needs, and objectives;
Evaluating, Reviewing, or Developing cost estimates and project schedules for initial deployments and technical plans for new initiatives;
Integrating security programs across disciplines including defining the scope and detail for security plans and policies applicable to the security program.
NOTE: Substitution of education in lieu of specialized experience may not be used for these grade levels.
In addition to meeting the specialized experience requirement, you must also have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below.
