About the Position: This position is with Department of Public Health, Occupational Health Clinic, Dugway Proving Ground, Utah.

Duties

Maintain medical database of employees enrolled in various medical surveillance programs. Review medical database and updates it as needed to eliminate inconsistencies, overlap, and duplication and ensures only current material is retained. Improve database management by simplifying or consolidating databases. Create and maintain patient schedules. Receive requests for pre-employment physicals for applicants of installation positions. Using an automated system, research and prepare a variety of correspondence, report, memos, graphs, and charts for physician and Occupational Health Staff. Enter data into a system and researches and correct any errors identified by error messaged.

Requirements

  • A National Agency Check w/ Inquiries (NACI) background investigation is required.
  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position is subject to annual seasonal influenza vaccinations.

OR Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as Health Systems Administration, Business Administration, Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ClericalComputer SkillsData ManagementReasoning (Clerical/Technical) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
