About the Position: Serve as the Military Personnel Management in support of a personnel actions and services team consisting of a specific group or specialty branch. Position is located at Human Resources Command (HRC), Reserve Personnel Management Directorate, Operations and Readiness Division at Fort Knox, Kentucky.
Duties
Initiates, reviews, or assists in completion of personnel actions in a wide variety of functional areas.
Initiates promotions, board support, benefit programs, awards and decorations, retirements, occupational specialties, ID cards, and commissary cards.
Maintains either a permanent or temporary record of the action using various automated or manual systems.
Maximizes the resources and authority of the position to assist the soldier through oral and written communication.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.

Specialized Experience: Performs a wide variety of administrative functions to support a personnel actions and services team consisting of a specific group or specialty branch in support of soldiers in the Army Reserve, retirees, veterans, and their family members. Duties require a general familiarity with the laws, rules, regulations, policies, procedures and precedents related to the Army Reserve personnel actions and services.

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
