Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Supervisory IT Specialist, you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:
Development of project and program plans with short- and long-range measurable objectives.
Ensure project or program goals, initiatives, purpose, and success factors are clearly defined; and provide internal and external stakeholders updates accordingly, to include senior leadership.
Within the functional arear, create and maintain any and all related or pertinent policies, guidance, or program requirement materials; ensuring the userbase and senior leadership are kept abreast of program or project requirements.
Conduct informative meetings with question and-answer sessions from leadership or customers on IT systems, relevant security policies, operational policies, guidelines, initiatives, new technologies, and issues; providing accurate guidance and knowledge to leadership and customer across the HHS environment.
Document, manage, maintain, and administer IT process testing, guidelines, procedures, reports, risks, business cases, and tools that enable the organizational stakeholders to identify, document, and access information as required from a database/dashboard; or in a comprehensive report format.
Accurately and efficiently, capture and summarize information relating to functional areas of service; for the purpose of creating procedures, memorandums, reports, standard operating procedures, testing protocols, and documentation to provide to senior leadership and external customers, as requested.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications: Must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Minimum Qualifications: You must have one-year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service performing at least three (3) of the following:
Manages the planning, direction, and execution related to the delivery of IT services with the defined quality, time and cost constraints;
Define strategy and roadmap, including alignment to vendor support and product roadmaps,
Researching and recommending the adoption of emerging technologies and emerging employee use cases;
Providing and documenting the selection, development, use, or design of systems and technologies;
Managing and coordinating data governance, risk, and compliance principles and practices in the delivery of services.
