Duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As an Administrative Support Assistant, you will use your knowledge of and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by: Receives, assesses, routes, or otherwise handles incoming and outgoing materials such as controlled or routine correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other forms of written communication. Performs office automation duties which include the preparation of ad hoc and reoccurring reports, forms, correspondence, and presentation materials which may include complex graphs, charts, and tabular material. Manages and maintains the appointment calendar for the assigned Division Director, exercising control over the calendar entries and scheduling activities. Performs a wide variety of administrative tasks required to support the work of the organization.

Qualifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: To qualify for this Administrative Support Assistant position at the GS-09 level, your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have one full year of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to at least the GS-07 level in the federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: 1. Utilizing administrative tools, procedures, and guidelines to purchase supplies, equipment and training courses. AND 2. Conducting program management of the agency's key control process. OR B. Must have completed a Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or two (2) full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such as degree; or LL.B or J.D. if related. OR C. Must have a combination of experience as described in "A" above and graduate education as described in "B" above Documenting experience: IN DESCRIBING YOUR EXPERIENCE, PLEASE BE CLEAR AND SPECIFIC. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to gain employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. If such experience is on a part-time basis, you must provide the average number of hours worked per week as well as the beginning and ending dates of the experience so it can be fully credited.
