You will serve as a Support Services Supervisor in the Support Service Staff (TRF Code 502), Supply Depart,ment (TRF Code 500), of TRIREFFAC KINGS BAY.

Duties

You will participate in special studies/analyses, prepare policies and procedures, and provide general resource management necessary for overall department organization. You will identify types and quantities of office equipment/supplies needed and ensures necessary documentation and requisitions are prepared. You will coordinate and complete various specialized projects and studies under the direction of the Deputy Supply Officer. You will provide manpower, resource management and organizational analysis expertise in developmental, coordination and execution of hiring, staffing and training programs for the department. You will be responsible for the preparation and maintenance of functional and organizational documents and charts, initiation and coordination of all department personnel actions, performance ratings, awards, and personnel check in/out procedures. You will establish and maintain a record keeping system which records individual and overall department training status. You will develop performance standards and evaluate performance of subordinates.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Financial Management Level II certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Experience providing a variety of administrative support to include budgetary functions and operational planning. 2. Experience applying personnel rules, regulations, procedures, position management concepts, principles, policies, and practices to provide efficient departmental operations. 3. Experience implementing the Limited Duty Program, Pay and leave regulations and policies. 4. Experience preparing and submitting departmental training estimates based on training objectives. 5. Experience using Microsoft Office software such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
