ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: ***ACTUAL DUTY LOCATIONS ARE: OFFUTT AIR FORCE BASE, NE AND CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA***Candidates have the opportunity to select for an opportunity at:USSTRATCOM (Offutt, AFB, NE)A unique opportunity to work in a GEOINT-rich environment designed to meet the national strategic threats of today and tomorrow. Working alongside a team of 26 professionals providing USSTRATCOM with the highest level of relevant geospatial intelligence. This team ensures the Command has the geospatial intelligence needed to enhance support to operational readiness and exercises to support the Unified Command Plan Missions of: Strategic Deterrence, Nuclear Operations, Missile Defense, And More.Charlottesville, VAChallenging opportunity to work with analysts from DIA, the NGIC, and NGA in one location. The work supports multiple end-users, from the war fighter to Congress, depending on the nature of the project and what product type comes from it. Intellectual vigor and strong investigative discipline will be necessary. This position is specifically focused on GEOINT support to Foundational Military Intelligence missions addressing our nation's highest priority requirements. Charlottesville is situated within the upper Piedmont Plateau at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and the headwaters of the Rivanna River, the city is a gateway to Shenandoah National Park. MANDATORY QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: For this particular job, applicants must meet all competencies reflected under the Mandatory Qualification Criteria to include education (if required). Online resumes must demonstrate qualification by providing specific examples and associated results, in response to the announcement's mandatory criteria specified in this vacancy announcement: 1. Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with others.2. Demonstrated experience developing and presenting briefings to meet the need of various audiences.3. Experience using technical skills, such as computer vision implementation, data mining in addition to analytics, data visualization, statistical analysis, algorithm development, and/or data science.4. Demonstrated experience with research and analysis, imagery, and/or geospatial analysis. 5. Demonstrated experience using critical thinking skills and/or data analytics to address matters of national concern, such as foreign military, environmental, and/or terrorism.EDUCATION REQUIREMENT: A. Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Foreign Area Studies, Geography, History, International Affairs, International Studies, Military Science, Physical Science, Political Science, Remote Sensing, or a related field. -OR- B. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience working in an Intelligence discipline analyzing and interpreting imagery and maintaining and building tasking strategies, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience working in an Intelligence discipline analyzing and interpreting imagery and maintaining and building tasking strategies, or a related area that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT: Distinguish principal colors and shades/hues of principal colors; Near visual acuity of 20/20 or better with or without corrective lenses; Stereopsis ability; Hand steadinessENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENT: Prolonged exposure to video display unitsDESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired: 1. Experience in meeting requirements on scheduled collaborative work with other organizations in a fast-paced and/or constantly changing environment.2. Knowledge of national and/or Commercial Imaging Systems; Image Tasking; Image Processing; Image Exploitation, and writing imagery reports.3. Experience with Geospatial Information Systems (GIS).4. Working knowledge of Foundational Military Intelligence GEOINT production, policies, practices, and procedures.
