Serve as a program and administrative assistant to the Amputation System of Care Program at the San Juan VA Medical Center.
Duties
Major duties include but aren't limited to:
Planning, reviewing, and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies.
Performing a basic analysis of the data and generating a variety of reports.
Administering approved surveys.
Reviewing and evaluating documents, reports and forms and other data collection forms for omissions and inconsistencies and ensuring data entry is complete and accurate.
Recognizing and resolving program issues on an ongoing basis.
Arranging transportation and travel as needed.
Performing general clerical duties and other appropriate duties as requested.
Conducting or ensuring required market research.
Resolving disputes of unknown or incorrect charges.
Work Schedule: 7:30 am-4:00 pm M-F

Qualifications
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement, 01/16/2024.
This position requires the ability to type 40 words per minute.
This position requires proficiency in spoken and written English and spoken Spanish.
Time-In-Grade Requirement: Applicants who are current Federal employees and have held a GS grade any time in the past 52 weeks must also meet time-in-grade requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For a GS-06 position you must have served 52 weeks at the GS-05. The grade may have been in any occupation, but must have been held in the Federal service. An SF-50 that shows your time-in-grade eligibility must be submitted with your application materials. If the most recent SF-50 has an effective date within the past year, it may not clearly demonstrate you possess one-year time-in-grade, as required by the announcement. In this instance, you must provide an additional SF-50 that clearly demonstrates one-year time-in-grade.
You may qualify based on your experience as described below:
Specialized Experience: You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade GS-05 in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Examples of specialized experience would typically include, but are not limited to: Collecting, compiling, and/or tracking of data and statistical information; planning, reviewing, and reporting of data/statistical results of program/project studies; providing program administrative and technical assistance in day-to-day operations; facilitating arrangement of transportation and travel as needed; performing general clerical duties; reconciling purchase card charges.

Physical Requirements: The physical demands of the position involve standard office requirements such as using the telephone, working with written documents and files, writing, etc. Some walking, standing, bending, carrying of light items such as books, files, papers, etc., and pushing of carts may be involved. Considerable walking between various buildings of the facility is required and occasional off-station activities may be required.
