This position is located on the Southwestern Region, Office of Communication & Engagement.
This position serves as the Regional web manager and contributes to planning and implementing a comprehensive strategic communications plan for the Region.

Duties
Use web based platforms to facilitate two way communication with the public, including news media and elected officials.
Coordinate with the national web management team and provide direction for all upgrades and changes to the external website.
Create and manage content for social media, website and communication campaigns.
Provide direction and/or guidance for developing and improving internal intranet and SharePoint sites.
Serve as the lead webmaster for external websites.
Develop content for website, social media and video communication campaigns.
Requirements

Qualifications

Basic Requirement:

Specialized Experience Requirement: Applicants must have at least one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as three or more of the following: preparing written or multimedia materials to promote the organization's position on a variety of sensitive, controversial and/or complex issues; and/or designing and tailoring public involvement strategies to audiences that involved a degree of controversy; and/or developing digital media outreach strategies for an organization; and/or managing and developing content for public-facing internet and internal intranet sites.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
TIME IN GRADE REQUIREMENT: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. This requirement must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
