The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the senior Force Support Specialist. This position manages the activities of the Force Support Flight (FSF) and oversees the planning, direction, and timely execution of Force Support programs. Incumbent makes technical and executive decisions for the group in all areas of functional responsibility.
Duties
DUTY 1: Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the 480 ISRG Force Support activities.
DUTY 2: Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with staff personnel, organizational commanders, key military and civilian personnel from various base and parent wing organizations and higher echelons.
DUTY 3: Provides expertise, authority, and advice on all aspects of the Human Resource programs.
DUTY 4: Performs management and oversight of subordinate Force Support functions and personnel.

Qualifications
This is a GG-13 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-13 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-13 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices in a professional or administrative occupation, such as would be gained through extended graduate study or experience and skill in applying this knowledge to difficult and complex work assignments or a comprehensive, intensive, practical knowledge of a technical field and skill in applying this knowledge to the development of new methods, approaches, or procedures. Knowledge of military and civilian personnel management, manpower instructions, and policies and procedures, to serve as the primary advisor to the group commander and other senior staff members in the areas of military, civilian, manpower and personnel management utilization. Knowledge of standardized research techniques, and analytical and problem-solving methods to plan, schedule, and conduct projects to evaluate current operations and make recommendations for improvement. Knowledge of Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) to analyze and prioritize the group commander's staffing requirements as they relate to the mission, make necessary changes to personnel and manpower documents, develop plans in support of the commander's strategic plans and objectives, and analyze all civilian hiring actions. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
Knowledge of a wide range of human resources programs, concepts, principles, operations, laws, regulations, directives, practices and procedures which include manpower, military and civilian personnel management, administration, readiness and education and training.
Knowledge and skill in the application and interpretation of DoD and Air Force management engineering principles, concepts, and methodologies; common financial management directives, programming and budgeting concepts, procedures, guidance and policies.
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices and procedures.
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, to gain cooperation from others through tact, diplomacy, and courtesy.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONT.
Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
